The City of Pontiac is a Community Navigator spoke organization to help outreach to and assist small businesses with The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has announced a new grant opportunity for small businesses in Illinois. The Back to Business (B2B) grant is available to businesses with revenues less than $20 million in 2019 and a reduction of revenue in 2020 due to COVID-19. In order to reach underserved business communities in Illinois (including rural, woman owned, veteran owned, and minority owned businesses), the DCEO has created a ‘hub and spoke’ model of Community Navigator organizations to help provide outreach and assistance. The City of Pontiac is proud to be working as a Community Navigator hub through Illinois Main Street. The City is also partnering with the GLCEDC to reach out to businesses throughout Livingston County to raise awareness and offer technical support to businesses in completing the grant application.
