This year we’re excited to combine two favorite holiday events into one big event!
On Friday, November 26 join us at 5:45 in Block 59 for our annual tree lighting ceremony. This year will feature the unveiling of a NEW lighted sculpture in Block 59, a few words from the Mayor, and a performance from the PTHS Madrigal Singers.
Immediately following the tree lighting the parade will step off from the First Lutheran Church and head north on Mill Street, turn East on Washington Street, north on Chicago, and west on Madison. It will conclude at the County Market parking lot. Santa will then return to his house on the Madison Street side of the courthouse to greet all of the children waiting for him. He will be in his house this year, but asks that everyone ages two and up remains masked while inside.
Local businesses, organizations, groups, and individuals are encouraged to create their own floats to participate in the parade. There is no cost to enter. Are you interested in creating a float for this year’s event? Click here for the registration form!
