TONIGHT’S (June 24, 2021) Cielito Lindo Family Folk Music CONCERT IS MOVED TO The Eagle Performing Arts & Conference Center, 319 N Plum! It is still free and open to the public. We have chairs set up and Lola’s will be here with their yummy food and Kiwanis will be set up with some goodies as well. We will be following Phase 5 IDPH guidance: masks are required for all unvaccinated people. This is the first time we’ve had to use our backup location-it was bound to happen someday-so we ask for your patience as we navigate this. Please SHARE this to help get the word out! The concert will begin at 7PM.
Cielito Lindo is a modern day mariachi band formed by the Lucero Family-all 9 members! Cielito Lindo roughly translates to “beautiful heaven” and when you see them perform, you will understand why they choose this name! The Chicago based band includes father Juan, mother Susy, and their 7 children and has performed all over the country, even earning a spot on Nickelodeon’s “America’s Most Talented Family” and recently having the honor of singing the National Anthem at the May 5th Cubs game.
All current IDPH mitigations and mandates pertaining to Covid will be followed. Please respect the space of those around you. In the case of a weather event, the concert will be moved indoors to the Eagle Theater. Rockin’ at the River Concert Series is being brought to you in part by a grant from the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation Arts & Culture Fund and IPCF Mirza Arts & Culture Fund and by the generous donations of our Platinum Sponsors Professional Counseling Associates, The Pointe at Pontiac, and Wally’s along with our other Diamond, Gold, and Silver Sponsors.
