Holiday shopping season, that is! Independent retailers throughout Pontiac are kicking off the holiday season Friday and Saturday November 6-7 with the annual Jolly Trolley Retail Event; the perfect way to embrace the holiday spirit.
Walk from shop to shop as you find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list (or just for yourself, we won’t tell!). Not in the walking mood? Jump on the Trolley as it loops around the greater downtown area, making stops at both retailers and restaurants from 12:00-3:00PM Saturday. Your favorite shops will be offering special deals and promotions this weekend only and for many it will be their first time displaying this season’s holiday merchandise.
New this year is the Holiday Story Trail. This season long experience kicks off during Jolly Trolley Weekend! On Friday see the unveiling of our newest window exhibits – costumes from A Christmas Carol on display at the Pontiac Oakland Automobile Museum. You can then walk downtown at your leisure to read the story of A Christmas Carol at twelve stops. Each stop will direct you to the next and maps will be available. Remember to shop small and shop local this holiday season to support your friends, neighbors, and fellow community members.
